Central Asia gas ring idea estimated at $5 billion
Kazakh energy expert Askar Ismailov at a Tashkent forum proposed uniting the gas transmission systems of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan into a single "gas ring" of over 3,000 km of new and upgraded pipelines.
